Genesis History
Indy Genesis started in 2011 as Genesis United to provide homeschool soccer for high school students. In 2017, God led the Genesis United board, which included Matt Hogan, Nickole Huffman, Tom Nemeth, and Jim Parker, to provide more opportunities to homeschool students by becoming a multi-sports organization. The board developed the mission, vision, and core values of the organization to serve as the foundation moving forward.
In addition, the name was changed to Indy Genesis to represent our focus on Indianapolis while honoring our roots as Genesis United. We didn’t intend to grow as large as we have; our commitment was and continues to be focused on our mission, vision, and core values as a youth ministry through sports. We are thankful for God’s grace extended to Genesis over many years and look forward to continuing to provide multiple athletic opportunities to the homeschooled athletes in Indianapolis.
